ABERDEEN, S.D. – (DRG News) The National Weather Service says that at least four central and northeast South Dakota communities set record daily maximum rainfall records. Aberdeen, Watertown, Sisseton and Pierre had good rains on Sunday. The Weather Service says Pierre received 1.40 inches Sunday, which broke the old record of .93 that was set for April 15 in 1970. As for other rain reports called to KGFX:
1.12-26 miles west of Fort Pierre
1.32-10 miles west of Fort Pierre
Two inches for the entire weekend-north of Farm Island
