Mobridge Pollock and Ipswich gather titles at Gettysburg Track Saturday




GETTYSBURG, S.D. ( Rod Fisher Dakota Radio Group) – Mobridge Pollock edged Sunshine Bible Academy and Gettysburg for the boys title and Ipswich captured the girls crown Saturday at the Gettysburg Invitational Track and Field Meet on Saturday.  In the boys division, Mobridge Pollock had 77 points while SBA came in with 74 and Gettysburg had 72.  Daniel Roberts of Mobridge-Pollock was a double winner taking the Shot Put and Discus individual titles.  Roberts had a Discus throw of 190 feet even.  Christian Svennes of SBA was a double winner taking the 1600 and 3200 meter runs and ran the anchor leg on the winning 3200 meter relay.  Jessika Wager of Gettysburg was a triple winner for Gettysburg in the girls division as she won the 200 and 400 meter dashes, qualifying for the State Track and Field meet with provisional qualifying times in both races. She also won the Pole Vault and qualified for the State Meet with a provisional Pole Vault of 9 feet 9 inches.
