PIERRE, S.D. – (DRG News) Rawlins Municipal Library will take part in next week’s “National Library Week”. Library Director Beverly Lewis says during the week, the library will celebrate 107 years of public library service in Pierre. They are planning special activities, displays and new titles-starting Monday. One of the activities includes a guessing game for adults-who will be challenged to come up with the number of titles that were in the library’s collections on March 10 of 1905 when the library first opened-and on the same date this year. Winning guesses will be posted in the library next week and listed on the Rawlins website at http://rpllib.sdln.net. Also shown next week will be a display called “Rawlins Then and Now”, which will feature photos from the old Carnegie Library, scenes from the 1972 Rawlins construction and pictures of current library scenes. In addition, new fiction, non-fiction, DVD’s and audio books will be available to check out. “National Library Week” will be noted from April 9-15.
