PIERRE, S.D. (Dakota Radio Group) Pierre Post 8 Baseball held its 2012 registration night Monday night and Post 8 baseball officials say they had a very good turnout at the ages 13-14 level as they make the transition this year to multiple teams after Capital City Baseball Association’s decision to dissolve the Pony League Division. There are 14 boys age 14 and 24 boys age 13 who registered and registration remains open. At the Teeners 15-16 level there are currently 11 boys age 16 and 10 boys who are age 15 who are registered for the Whitesox and Greensox teams. At the American Legion level we have 12 young men ages 17 and 18 who have registered. Registration also remains open at those levels. The Teeners 15-16 groups and the American Legion team have started practices and they are forming plans for the 13-14 practices to start later this spring. You can contact contact Bob Mercer at 224-0399 or Bobmercer1@aol.com or Post 8 Head Coach Scott Hesla at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information or to register if you missed last night’s registration.
