REE HEIGHTS, S.D. – (DRG News) The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Natural Resources Conservation Service is sponsoring an Info Show tomorrow at the Ree Heights Auditorium. The event will take place Tuesday evening and starts at 4:00 p.m. with a calibration clinic. At 5:30 p.m., a free supper will be served and at 6:00 p.m., there will be updates from representatives of the Farm Service Agency, NRCS and Conservation Districts. Starting at 7:00 p.m., attendees can learn about tree maintenance and caring for shelterbelts from Nathan Kafer with the Division of Resource Conservation and Forestry. The event will wrap up with a 7:45 p.m. seminar with Darrell Deneke of the SDSU Extension Service-who will discuss what makes a noxious weed invasive and Mike Moechnig, SDSU Extension Weed Specialist-who will give pest and noxious weed research updates. The Info Show is coordinated by the Hand and Hyde County NRCS, Conservation Districts and County Weed Supervisors.
