Pierre Grad is New Full Time Assistant at BHSU

Black Hills State University head men’s basketball coach, Bradd Schafer, announced today the hiring of Sam Holden as the men’s assistant basketball coach. Formerly a graduate assistant for the Yellow Jackets, Holden will take the reins in his new position effective immediately. Holden will take over a new role in his fifth season with the Black Hills State Men’s Basketball program. Sam joined the Yellow Jackets in the fall of 2008 as a student assistant coach before assuming his role as a graduate assistant coach for the 2010-11 and 2011-12 seasons. Holden graduated from Black Hills State with a Bachelor’s of Science in Exercise Science in 2010 and will earn his Master’s Degree in Strategic Leadership in May of 2012.¬† Holden graduated from T F Riggs High School in Pierre, South Dakota where he played both basketball and football for the Governors.
