PIERRE, S.D. – (DRG News) A power outage left some Pierre residents without power for about two hours yesterday. City Utilities Director Brad Palmer says the outage started at 6:30 a.m. Sunday and the area that was impacted was from the Ash Substation on the top of Harrison Avenue down to Hayes Avenue in southeast Pierre. The outage was caused by a cable burn-off on Sully Avenue in the area of the City Park shop. Palmer says power was restored by 8:30 a.m. Sunday morning.
